Does the one hour teeth whitening kit work?

megan.hutchins asked:

I saw a one-hour teeth whitening kit at the grocery store and was wondering if it worked well. It was around $30-$50. It uses a light and you use it only one time for an hour. I don’t remember what it was called but I was wondering if this would work well. If anyone knows of any other good at home teeth whitening kits, let me know. Thanks!

Um I don’t know about a grocery store one
but my dentist recommended me Colgate BriteSmile home whitening kit.
All you have to do is go to the dentist and ask for it, it is reasonably priced.
All it is, is the dentist makes you retainers and you go home, put whitening gel in them and wear them for half and hour.
I had massive stains on my teeth and now my friends call me Whitey, lol.

Please do not use a home whitening kit. They cause great damage to your teeth. I have a friend that used one and lost a tooth because the kit had weakened her teeth so bad that the enamal had been stripped right off. If you really want your teeth whitened go to your dentist. It may be more expensive but is definitly cheaper in the long run.

I’ve never seen or heard of those, but I have tried the Aquafresh White Trays. I found that they worked for me, but I became very sensative after the 3rd day. My teeth are still white, and I use them every 6 months.
